In 2006, After becoming affected by Hurricane Katrina in St. Bernard Parish, owners Joe Martinez and David Necaise decided to take root in the Heart of Acadiana. Joe was originally born in Opelousas and has family scattered throughout the area. He had evacuated to his mothers' home in Washington, La. While in St. Bernard, Joe was a maintenance technician for Folgers Coffee and had a part time handy man business doing lawncare and carpentry. David ended up in the area because they had evacuated to the area and were staying with in-laws. David was a plumbing technician and was also doing business as Handy Man, providing lawncare and miscellaneous services in the New Orleans Metropolitan area. They both decided that Acadiana would be a better place for them and their families after the storm. In Early 2006, They decided to keep the name David was using and make it an LLC. They joined forces and began to give the area what it was lacking, a dependable, economical Home Improvement solution. After the area was hit by Hurricane Rita, the duo, with the help of David's father, David Sr. (a.k.a. Ralph), began rebuilding homes in lower Vermilion Parish. They also began offering Rental Property Maintenance for local property management companies. They now provide a full menu of Home Improvement Services. Though the business climate has greatly changed due to the economic situation of the area, the Company has survived through tough times because of their dedication to providing a dependable, high quality service to the Home Owners of Acadiana at a fair price.
